Video Edit Lite - Video Trim App Reviews
Waste of time!
Interface hard to figure out how to use it. The free version you can use only 3 minutes of video, totally useless. Don’t waste your time with it...
Typical bait and switch. You download it, then you find out to actually do anything with it you must buy the pro version. There are no instructions except for a graph written in poor English that is incomprehensible, so you can’t figure out how to use it, and the creators apparently didn’t want to bother with actually writing out instructions. Very hard for me to understand why Apple allows pitiful programs like these to bait & switch their customers.
I have over 2000 files I need to trim to 1 min previews. Video Trim Pro was the only app i could find that did the job. I spent days trawling the net tryiing numerous apps that claim to do the job, including the con app: Batch Video Trim and Crop. All others that claim to do the job require that one manually sets in and out points in each file (which you can then process in a batch). Video Trim allows you to apply the same In and Out points to ALL the files in the playlist. Great!
Doesn’t actually do anything. It will hold the places you want to cut but then doesn’t do anything. I tried trim, split, and merge and the markers stay in place as I press the cut button it doesn’t do anything. Waste of time.
Who ever wrote the instructions doesn’t know the English language. Tried to figure out how to use it but couldn’t. After wasting time with it you’ll need to buy it to do anything over 3min.
Avoid this bait and switch garbage.
The real point of having this app is to make you download it free, realize you can’t do anything without buying their full version, and then hopefully cause you to buy their full version. It’s not an in-app purchase, but an entirely different app. These people are thieves and cheats.
uh, watermark warning
I don’t mind a ‘watermark’ but a GIANT RED watermark RIGHT in the middle of screen is too much. Come on guys, get it together
Waste of time, huge logo covers split video
Don’t waste time on this. You have to buy the pro version to save your work.
This app is trash. Don’t waste your time.
This app leaves a bright red banner that covers half the screen on the videos, unless you pay to have the banner removed. It’s a scam. If you’re hoping for any sort of functionality, then you’re wasting your time with this one.
SCAM - NOT FREE TO TRY
Leaves a huge banner on your video unless you pay the ransom and upgrade to the PRO version. Blow me
Junk, but it works for my purposes
I downloaded this app to pull shots out of source footage files that I shoot with my drone. The free version only trims to a length of 3 minutes or less, so be aware of that. The time limitation doesn’t really affect me—my shots are generally 15 to 30 seconds or less. However, I generally fly three to five minutes at a time, with the camera running the entire flight, as I get a half-dozen shots or so. I shoot in 4K, so my source footage files often run 3 to 5 gigabytes each. The bulk of my source footage consists of the drone getting into position to actually get a shot, and I don’t want to import all that garbage into my video editor. That lead me to search for an app that could extract only the shots from the source footage without generational loss, and this app actually seems to do a pretty good job of that. The UI is amateurish and a little weird, but if you play with it for a few minutes, you can get the hang of it. As others have noted, don’t bother with the help document—it appears that the app developer doesn’t really speak English. As nearly as I can tell, there isn’t any generational loss in my extracted shots, so I can’t say I’m unhappy with the app. It simply isn’t a very polished product. I don’t know that I’d pay $7 for the paid version, but since it’s free, I’ll use it until I find a better solution.
Pressing cut does nothing
I only need to cut a 1 min video to 10 seconds. This should not be this difficult. This makes the fifth one I’ve downloaded. This one I can select the part, it is highlighted red, and I hit the button that says “cut.” The red turns to blue, I think “oh good it worked” except NOTHING HAPPENED. It is the same video I started with. I’ve wasted too much time on this.
not free
